Meet The Bridal Party

Maid of Honour
Sam 'Samie' Cuomo
Sam has been Emma's closest friend since they were both three years old. After bonding over who knows what, they have been inseparable for over 20 years. Over the years, their friendship has developed into a sisterhood that, even if Emma tried, she could not escape from Sam—Sam would always find a way to reconnect. Growing up, they joked about being like Demi and Selena in their early 2000s friendship—practically one and the same. There was never any doubt that Sam would be the Maid of Honour. Whether it's making sure everyone stays in line or being the first on the dance floor, there's no way anyone will miss her presence at the ceremony.

Best Man
George Kenny
I don't think there's a better feeling than knowing that you're going to grow old with a best friend for life. George, you've helped me out more times than you even know—just a small sense check here and there has made all the difference.
We've had some awesome memories together, from peeking around the wall when we were both in the naughty corner (for something I most likely initiated!), to climbing Snowdon together. I can't thank you enough for being a great brother. Lots of love, mate.

Matron of Honour
Kerthana 'Keer' Prasana
You may notice a trend of Emma meeting friends in unconventional ways, and Keer is no exception. Keer moved to the UK to complete her first master's degree (yes, first, as she has two) and ended up living in the same student house as Emma. From there, Keer and Emma bonded over visits to cafes and enjoying desserts at Wetherspoons. Interestingly, Keer has since married one of the previous bartenders from that very Wetherspoons. Keer was an obvious choice for Matron of Honour because she and Emma share similar tastes, and her presence in the UK has been invaluable for helping with all the DIY projects. Keer will undoubtedly ensure that everyone has a smile on their face throughout the day.

Groomsman
Derek Darling
Derek, my soon-to-be brother-in-law, has been a pleasure to get to know over the past eight years. While we don't get to see one another very often, his quick wit never ceases to amaze me (even if it goes straight over my head on occasion).
Derek, I look forward to calling you my brother-in-law. Can't wait to see you at the wedding!

Bridesmaid
Zoe Bastin
The 'most recent' friendship in the lineup, Zoe and Emma met when Zoe needed to borrow Emma's shower while her university home was under construction. From that encounter, they started talking over coffee about makeup and music, which sparked a friendship where Zoe frequently encourages Emma to get out of the house and attend multiple concerts, at the very least. Zoe will make sure the tunes are pumping and sounding great.

Groomsman
Jake Thompson
There’s a reason why Jake and I have been friends for so long, and I’d sum it up as a shared set of values. Our friendship spans longer than I can remember, and I have no doubt it will continue for many more years to come. We’ve been through thick and thin together, sharing both the good and the bad along the way.
During our time at school, we’d arrive an hour early to practice table tennis, which always involved eating everything in our lunchboxes for some reason. He’s always been an incredible footballer, putting the rest of us “park-pellè’s” to shame on those late summer nights. Sleepovers playing Minecraft or Xbox were never a dull moment either.
Now, I have the pleasure of calling him up whenever I make it to Leicester to grab a beer together, and it’s always something I look forward to. Cheers, Jake! 🍻

Bridesmaid
Maggie Williams
Probably the most unconventional way to meet—on a university trip to Hong Kong. Maggie and Emma took the risk of traveling to the other side of the world without knowing anyone else on the trip, only to find each other, both eager to eat and see as much as possible. Now, both living in London, they are trying to balance professional life with the energy of the city. Maggie will have everyone feeling comfortable in no time with her great conversation and even better stories.

Groomsman
Nathan Doore
Nathan and I met during college back in 2014. It wasn't until our first year of university that we realised how much we had in common (gym, coming up with business ideas, and doing anything for entertainment!). Since then, I've had the fortune of experiencing some fantastic adventures together, mostly off the back of a spontaneous idea one of us have had.
There's so much I'd love to do again. If I could revisit one of our experiences, it would be our trip to Lille, France. Despite having to work during the trip, and spending a curious amount of time on a my work laptop playing games, it was such a brilliant experience. Thanks for all the laughs, mate - here's to many more!

Groomsman
Marcello Hunt
Marcello and I met during our first “real” development jobs, where we’d spend lunches getting our ritualistic Subway sandwiches and Costa coffee. We’d spend the journey chatting about everything from politics to video games - both equally important. Upon returning to the office, the football table would be waiting, ready to aid in yet more procrastination!
It has been a fantastic journey to be alongside Marcello in what is now two jobs, a business, and almost two years living in the same house. In the past seven years, we’ve BBQed, gamed, sat up late in the evening chatting away, shared experiences, and overall had an absolute blast doing so.
Thanks for everything mate - I look forward to celebrating with you and Evie!
